Federal Government client is looking to engage the services of a Senior Automation Tester on a contract.



Initial contract duration
3-months plus extensions 

Key duties and responsibilities

• Take ownership of identifying the automation scope for functional, regression, and performance testing, building test frameworks and test suites.
• Assist with functional and automation estimation, structure, and execution under the direction of the Automation Test Lead.
• Report on automation results with appropriate details and identified defects.
• Support the Automation team in delivering automation scripts on time for releases based on defined scope, reporting status and updates to the Test Manager.
• Perform hands-on test execution using tools such as Test Complete, Java, .Net, SOAPUI, ReadyAPI, and Selenium.
• Enhance and improve the current automated framework.
• Build and support the team in API Automation.
• Integrate with CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins or Azure Devops
• Contribute to the training of other testers and relevant staff.

• Extensive experience in automation testing in complex IT environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with automation frameworks for both functional and automation testing.
• The ability to provide competent guidance to testers on automated testing frameworks.
• Current experience in automation scripting using Selenium, Java, Java Script. Strong experience with standalone .Net applications, websites and Salesforce Platform.
• Strong experience with Backend API testing / interface: REST, JSON, XML and automating API tests using SOAPUI/Karate API/ReadyAPI.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including sound liaison abilities and the capability to train other testers and staff.
