Calleo is looking for an experienced M365 Engineer to join one of the federal government departments.
The role will have two major responsibilities:
- Support, Manage and Improve GovTEAMS PROTECTED and GovTEAMS OFFICIAL M365 tenancies and related Azure services.
- Monitor and manage the Security aspects of the above, in alignment with the Department and GovTEAMS Security requirements.
- Support potential migration activities associated with the PROTECTED Platform.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management:
- Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft 365 solutions, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and other M365 services.
- Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of the M365 environment.
- Implement and manage security measures, including data loss prevention, multi-factor authentication, and conditional access policies.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for M365-related issues.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to integrate M365 services with existing systems and applications.
- Develop and maintain documentation for M365 configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Stay up to date with the latest M365 features, updates, and best practices.
Security and Compliance:
- Monitor security alerts and incidents using Sentinel (our Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system) and other security tools.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware infections, phishing attacks, and unauthorized access.
- Implement and manage security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security best practices are followed.
- Stay up to date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
Collaboration and Training:
- Train and support end-users on M365 tools and features.
- Foster a security-conscious culture within the organization.
- Provide security awareness training and support to employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant experience.
- Relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
- Proven experience as a Microsoft 365 Engineer or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and administration.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and management of M365.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in an M365 environment
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft 365 cloud solutions and security measures.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services and cloud architecture.
