Senior Interaction Web Designer (Adobe)

Our Federal client is seeking talented Web Designers to join one of their highly regarded teams working on designs and updates on existing as well as new intranet and external websites.

You will have excellent working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite particularly XD, but additional experience using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator or Axure is also desirable. Applicants must have in-depth knowledge of WCAG principles as well as experience in designing inclusive and accessible websites.

Key Tasks and Duties may include:

  • Research on images and graphic elements through available digital sources.
  • Developing low and high-fidelity web and interaction designs.
  • Creation and upkeep of UX templates and artefacts.
  • Treatment of graphics and images to align with industry best practice and department standards.
  • Assessing and use of correct typography for product.
  • Applying branding to websites and digital products as required.
  • Providing a quality assurance function of web development work.
  • Monitor analytics of products and develop analytics reports when required.
  • Mentoring junior staff in UX design practices.
  • Assist the user researchers in user engagement sessions and synthesis as required.

Candidates with the following skills and experiences are encouraged to apply:

  • Demonstrated experience with Adobe XD/ Axure or equivalent design tool sets
  • Demonstrated experience with website designs for government websites.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in using design methodologies, processes, and techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience with the Australian Government’s Digital Service Standard, WCAG AA compliance and/ or website government standards
