Integrated Support Manager

We are seeking an experienced ILS Manager to lead the design and development of the support system across the constituent capabilities of operating support, engineering support, maintenance support, supply support, and training support. 

This role exercises a high degree of autonomy and will build relationships between ILS, program management, engineering, customers, and the capability delivery teams to ensure support requirements are fulfilled. It is also responsible for transition management including Fundamental Input to Capability (FIC) coordination and transition to service.
  
This role will initially be focused on the capability development support (i.e. support needed to acquire and support capabilities in-service and to ensure that capabilities meet the preparedness requirements including the definition of support requirements, acquisition of capability and in-service support, which encompasses preparedness management and support to Defence operations) and will grow to include operations support (support needed to deploy and redeploy a tailored force and sustain it for the duration of an operation).
  
You will be accountable for contributing towards ongoing continuous improvement and the identification, anticipation and responding to stakeholders’ needs and expectations to achieve desired outcomes.
         
Duties and Responsibilities:
  
You will have significant knowledge and experience across the Defence logistics spectrum and will offer Subject Matter Expert advice on all ILS functions including transition in to service.  

  • Develop effective logistic support strategy.
  • Design, lead and manage the Support Program
  • Plan and support delivery of the Life Cycle Cost management and reporting across the acquisition and sustainment program to support total cost of ownership design decisions.
  • Design and manage the ILS scope of work associated with implementing the support system.
  • Develop and execute plans to invest in people, processes and systems to establish and then sustain the Support System
  • Apply established technical, operational, professional and administrative activities, procedures, practices and ILS management methodologies.
  • Manage stakeholder, including customer, engagement and expectations during development of Support System.
  • Contribute to Contract development and Contractor management.
  • Develop required documentation for the constituent capabilities of the Support Program.
  • Record and maintain files/information in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Develop ILS plans and tender deliverables.
  • Manage risks, issues and opportunities related to the Support Program including developing mitigation solutions and improvement initiatives.
  • Develop the Support performance management framework in collaboration with customer and internal stakeholders.
  • Other duties as reasonably required.
