Data Analyst / Data Scientist

Overview
  
Successful candidates will have:

  • Outstanding analytical problem-solving skills to curate the data required to inform high quality and timely written advice, briefings, and other material for a range of audiences
  • Deep technical expertise in excel and data cubes, and programming skills in languages including SQL, SAS, R or Python.
  • Experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Qlik or R packages to present complex data in simple ways
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that enable them to deliver clear and concise messages that are fit for purpose and the audience, including participating and presenting in project work
  • The ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment and deliver high quality results.
  • A track record of developing and maintaining productive and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Formal qualifications, accreditation or training in information technology, including user centred design, are highly desirable, or a minimum 3-5 years’ experience working on similar IT projects that can demonstrate your highly developed skills and suitability for the role.
  • Experience with the VET Student Payment Systems (VPAYS) is highly desirable

  Selection Criteria
