APS6 Project Manager

Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Medical Devices Surveillance Branch. The Branch monitors medical devices throughout their lifecycle to ensure they continue to meet appropriate levels of quality, safety and performance.
  
As the Project Manager you will be:

  • Supporting the development of a risk-based assessment framework in relation to surface texture for breast implants
  • Reinvigorating the Action Plan for consumer working groups to co-design consumer friendly documents which translate technical regulatory language into plain English
  • Supporting the establishment of a separate Women’s Health working group

Some of your tasks will be:

  • Analysing and reviewing the breast implant working group papers and clinical evidence
  • Undertaking research and work closely with internal stakeholders, on resolution of questions concerning the projects and working groups
  • Assisting in drafting option papers as required to consider what could/should be implemented
  • Assisting in preparing meeting papers, briefings and organise meetings, conflict of interest registers
  • Drafting minutes and communiques
  • Liaising with web publishing, regulatory education/guidance team to develop/draft external facing documents and consumer friendly artefacts

The Must Haves

  • Demonstrated experience in Project planning and management
  • Demonstrated experienced in government processes and policy writing/development
  • Secretariat experience including meeting papers, briefings and minute taking
  • Ability to write for the appropriate audience (and Government)
  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance and undertake research
  • Knowledge of or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of medical device regulation
